The EC Partnership is exploring models of care to improve uptake of hepatitis C testing and treatment among people who inject drugs in Victoria.
We know that we need to improve the cascade of care for hepatitis C, in particular improving retention between testing and treatment. We will evaluate these community-based models of care to provide an evidence base to inform the approach to elimination of hepatitis C in Australia and globally.
We will use a partnership and health systems approach to implementing models of care. We have five pillars to our partnership: health promotion, training and education, clinical pathways, data systems and surveillance, and research and evaluation.
