The Rapid-EC pilot study of point of care testing for hepatitis C has now finished recruiting.
There were a total of 175 participants across the three sites: North Richmond Community Health, Innerspace, and Health Works.
The study attracted a wide range of people to get tested for hepatitis C and has provided a lot of insight into the potential role of rapid testing for hepatitis C in the community. Data analysis is ongoing but results will be made available in the new year.
We want to thank all the staff at these three clinics for their involvement in the study and making this happen. We would particularly like to thank Amelia Berg, Chloe Layton, Jen Hamilton, Lesa Waltrowicz, Olivia Hitmann and Shirley Bennets who all contributed a huge amount of effort to this study.
