The Health Promotion Working Group, jointly led by Burnet Institute, Harm Reduction Victoria and Hepatitis Victoria and coordinated by Judy Gold, is focused on demand generation for the new hepatitis C treatments.
The overarching aim of the Health Promotion Working Group is to increase the number of people who inject drugs attending EC sites to access hepatitis C testing and treatment.
This involves mapping out the available health promotion resources and making these accessible to EC sites, identifying gaps and needs for additional resources, and coordinating the development of innovative health promotion activities - primarily through the use of the peer networkers.
