Data Systems & Surveillance

Background

The Data Systems & Surveillance Working Group works with those involved in collecting, cleaning and analysing data to determine the most feasible, acceptable and sustainable option for ongoing surveillance of hepatitis C. 

Aims

The aims of this Working Group are:

  • To monitor the impact of community testing and treatment of HCV on increasing the number of PWID treated for HCV
  • To compare treatment outcomes (SVR12) among community-treated patients with tertiary hospital treated patients
  • To track trends in HCV prevalence and incidence in the community 

We will do this by establishing and managing data systems which monitor hepatitis C testing and treatment across primary, tertiary and correctional services.
